TEAM PURPOSE: The purpose of the Digital Communications team is to drive Oxfam's digital strategy and brand online, delivering communications that help attract, inspire and maintain relationships with supporters, and put the user at the heart of the digital experience.
JOB PURPOSE: To assist with the provision of analysis and evaluation across Oxfam's websites and online communications. To be the technical lead on website tagging and implementation and to support the Web Analytics Manager in reporting analytics, learnings and insights to teams across Oxfam.
Maintain Oxfam's analytics implementation structure (Omniture) and ensure it is capturing accurate and relevant information.
Translate new reporting requirements into tagging requirements.
Produce regular and ad hoc performance reports with added commentary and insights for a number of stakeholders, including both detailed operational teams and broader level senior management. Reporting to cover:
Digital marketing channels such as websites, email, SEO, paid search, social media and ecommerce;
Digital marketing campaigns
Provide on-going trading reporting for Oxfam's online shop and supporting ad-hoc projects.
Data validation through regular site audits.
Work with the Web Analytics Manager and the Digital Delivery Team to ensure that web analytics requirements are considered in the website development process.
Collate activity on social networking sites and other web 2.0 activities that Oxfam undertakes.
Work with other members of the Digital Communications team to deliver joined up cross-channel reporting, covering mobile, social media channels and acquisition activity.
Support Web Analytics Manager to develop self-service reporting models and train teams across Oxfam to support their own use of analytics tools and platforms.
Support the Web Analytics Manager to deliver analysis plans and help collate key performance indicators (KPIs).
Skills and Competence
Strong demonstrable experience working with website analysis tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics.
Technically competent at online tagging and implementation.
Translating business requirements into tagging requirements.
Experience of reporting back KPI data, particularly in an e-commerce environment.
Solid experience in using the Microsoft Office suite in particular Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with technical resources and various levels of end users.
Demonstrable ability to work effectively with project management skills.
Experience of working on a large website and/or with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing.
Technical understanding of HTML and web applications.
Experience in using social media monitoring tools.
Occasional travel way from Oxford is involved.
Occasional unsociable hours
Significant VDU work.
