Ashmore is seeking either a recent graduate or budding Marketing Executive looking for their next challenge.
Ashmore is one of the world's leading investment managers dedicated to Emerging Markets. The business was founded in 1992 and became independent in 1999. In terms of brand awareness, while Ashmore is a significant investor in the world’s Emerging Markets and a FTSE 100 company with a highly differentiated proposition, awareness remains lower than desired in many markets. As such there is exciting opportunities to restructure and improve the firm's digital footprint from the grass-roots.
We plan on building a new global website which will bring all of our sites under ashmoregroup.com to help respond to changes in how our clients are using digital/ online media to research, review and engage with businesses. We see this project as a great opportunity to deliver an outstanding client experience online and also introduce efficiencies both in terms of cost and processes.
For this, we are seeking to hire a Digital Marketing Executive for a 6 month contract.
Working alongside the Head of Marketing, this individual will have opportunity to be a key contributor and spearhead the firm’s push toward a digital footprint which reflects our business goals and growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities Apportioned:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Supporting the website project team throughout the life of the project
• Working closely with different teams in Ashmore both in the UK and internationally ensuring consistent and effective communications of the projects aim and progress
• Working with IT and Marketing to scope the Statement of Work, supporting the head of marketing in delivery and actively involved in UX,IA and user testing
• Together with the Head of Marketing, being a day to day point of contact for all external digital partners
• More generally, supporting the Head of Marketing in delivery of digital and hard copy collateral to support the global distribution team
i. a degree in digital marketing (or with specific studies/courses in Digital marketing); some and work experience the digital landscape and social media very useful
ii. Enthusiasm for digital marketing and how it can integrate and support traditional marketing and sales activities
iii. Knowledge of website design and build sufficient to understand the roles of IA and UX and the value they bring to website projects. Practical experience in SEO useful (but not key)
iv. A good understanding of B2B markets, and enthusiasm for finance/asset management
v. Good attention to detail and project management skills
vi. Confidence with dealing with people at all levels of the organisation
vii. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
viii. Proficiency in other languages would be an advantage. Fluency in English is essential
