Job Description

The post holder will produce high quality digital communications for the Oxfam GB website and wider digital estate. Working with partners across the organisation you will manage and deliver effective and timely digital communications, with responsibility across a range of Oxfam's activities. Giving advice on best practice you will encourage both a 'test and learn' & 'user focused' approach to our digital activity.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide consultancy and professional client care to stakeholders to help develop and deliver their marketing goals.
Educate clients on digital best practise and UCD - using, and evangelising, research and analytics based decision-making.
Work as part of a team of Digital Producers to ensure Oxfam prioritises compelling and engaging user experiences online.
Produce results driven, high quality, creative digital communications.
Prioritise work and initiate projects to respond to Oxfam objectives and the changing digital environment.
Maintain a high level of creative, technical and industry expertise.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:
A high awareness of the digital environment including developments in blogging, social networks, and community building and how these can be leveraged to drive & support effective fundraising.
Experience of leading digital projects and effective working with others to contribute to cross-divisional projects.
Extensive project delivery experience based on Prince 2 or Agile project management methodologies.
Website creation and management skills, including experience of CMS's, knowledge of HTML, and image manipulation.
Knowledge of best practice in web design, including usability, SEO, accessibility issues and technology standards.
Strong critical information gathering skills.
Proven conceptual thinking abilities to deliver high impact communications.

Desirable:
Experience of using the web as a tool for fundraising and/or income generation.
Experience of using the web as a tool for political/social campaigning.
Experience of managing online communities.
Exposure to SiteCore, Telligent and/or Message Focus.
Exposure to scripting languages such as Javascript.
Copy writing and editing for the web.

OTHER:
Occasional travel way from Oxford is involved.
Occasional unsociable hours.
Significant VDU work.
