Job Description

To develop and manage integrated, targeted and innovative publicity campaigns that drive sales of HarperFiction, Blue Door and Voyager. We strive to create PR campaigns that strengthen author brands, enhance a novel’s content and amplify our media presence both for our authors and for the profile of the HarperFiction division itself.

Candidate Requirements

Skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Commercially astute with a sound knowledge of the UK media
• Good negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong digital awareness and experience with an emphasis on social media
• Creative thinker
• Strong numeracy
• High levels of organisation; ability to multitask

Experience

• Proven track record of digital and traditional PR
• A sound knowledge of the publishing industry and the challenges it faces
• A track-record in delivering impactful campaigns across a variety book genres and/or brands
• Long-standing experience of communications channels, with particular focus on digital and social media
