About the role
We’re continuing to bring some of the nation’s best-loved places to life by doing exciting things in all sorts of new ways. To make sure we’re reaching out to people in the most relevant and engaging way possible, we need to be able to interpret Customer Insight data accurately and efficiently.
As part of the Insight team here at the National Trust, you’ll play a leading role in helping us understand how we should be approaching key projects and strategies, to make sure we’re connecting with the right people in the right ways. Working closely with key stakeholders and making the most of the data available, you’ll shape the strategic direction that we take by analysing facts and figures and ensuring that we have access to the most up-to-date information. And it won’t stop there. You’ll be on-hand to provide on-going support and post-campaign evaluation to see if there is anything we could have done differently. We’d also like you to analyse how the National Trust brand is viewed externally, and using your bright and brilliant ideas, understand how we can get more people inspired and involved with our places and spaces. By making the most of available information, you’ll ultimately help us reach out and connect with new and existing supporters in the best possible way.
The first thing to say is that you love a challenge and the bigger, the better. With strong market research and intelligence experience behind you, you’ll be the Insight expert we’re looking for. You’ll be able to show where you’ve driven strategic thinking and change, be up-to-speed with the latest reporting tools and techniques and more importantly, you’ll be able to advise us on how best to use them. Naturally curious, you love working with multiple data sources and have no problem working on a number of projects at one time. You’re someone who can influence their colleagues, partners and stakeholders to drive outstanding results, and in the process – help us achieve our long-term aims and ambitions.
We expect a lot, but we’ll offer a great deal in return, starting with stimulating and challenging work and the opportunity to help us achieve our bold ambitions. We value your contribution, recognise the importance of a work-life balance, and are committed to your continued development. You’ll also enjoy a competitive benefits package, which you can find out more about at www.nationaltrustrewardsandbenefits.org.uk
Here at the National Trust, we want even more people to enjoy our extraordinary places. We want people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved with them, be inspired by them, and love them as much as we do. That’s why we’ve put some bold ambitions in place. We want everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to feel like a member of the National Trust and, by 2020, we want to have grown our membership to more than five million.
