RNIB's website receives around 200,000 visitors a month, providing vital help and information about all aspects of living with sight loss, eye health and RNIB's work. It is an important fundraising and campaigning channel.
We need an experienced Senior Web and Digital Marketing Officer to help ensure that what we offer online is useful, user-friendly - and that it gets used.
This role will focus on all aspects of quality content delivery, including writing and editing content, project managing new content projects, using statistics and other data to improve content, planning training programmes and putting customers at the heart of the website. You will be called on to think of innovative ways to improve RNIB's online presence.
The role is also responsible for the management of two part time Web Officers and one part time Web and Digital Marketing Officer.
You will need experience in all aspects of web content delivery, including excellent writing and editing skills, a high level of skill in Microsoft Office, a good working knowledge of web analytics, search engine optimisation, web usability and basic html. Experience of working with content management systems is essential.
A willingness to get the job done, to use your own initiative and to take a proactive approach is essential.
This job is all about editorial and marketing - it isn't an IT or programming job.
