Oxfam needs a Digital Project Manager with experience of project delivery and multi-channel digital marketing. Owning and delivering ad hoc projects as well as business as usual across Oxfam GB's digital estate, the post holder will work with internal resource & stakeholders as well as external agencies. Fitting into our change control processes, fortnightly code release cycle and internal planning and resource functions, the post holder will be a key point of contact within Digital Communications for the wider organisation helping promote and drive a culture of user focused, continuous improvement.
Overview of role:
The role of the Oxfam Digital Project Manager is to deliver ad hoc projects and business as usual change to the Oxfam Digital Estate.
For example a typical marketing focused project would be co-ordinating a new fundraising initiative for the Supporter Marketing Team. Over the life time of the project you would be responsible for liaising with internal specialists such as our Acquisition, Email marketing and delivery teams and would ensure that the project is delivered to quality, deadline and budget, whilst maintaining appropriate processes, communication and documentation throughout.
An example of a small technical project could be working with our Head of Email Marketing and external agencies to deliver an integration between our CMS and Email Marketing tool to deliver centrally controlled cross promotional panels in our outbound emails.
Our business as usual technical change to our digital estate works on a fortnightly release cycle and you would be expected to manage the delivery of BAU and support/work within Oxfam's change management processes.
As well as delivering projects, tasks will include defining in detail the scope and then planning the execution in accordance with business priorities, budget and release schedule.
Work with internal & external stakeholders to define and scope projects.
Create and maintain risks/issues and change control logs.
Create and monitor adherence of project and change costs to budgets.
Manage day-to-day stakeholder and agency liaison and expectations.
Resolve and/or escalate issues reducing risks to project delivery.
Maintain the knowledge on the systems being used by Oxfam and its digital projects.
Work within change management release plans Identify and schedule resources needed and assign to individuals and agencies.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects and scope of the projects.
Monitor and report project risks and issues, thus minimising our exposure.
Ownership and management of the QA and approval processes on your projects.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and filed correctly.
Services and Industry understanding:
Maintain a good understanding of each agencies service offering and capabilities.
Keep up to date on online marketing, usability, analytics, SEO, website/application development platforms/databases and infrastructure
Maintain a thorough understanding of Oxfam's in-house production capabilities and skill sets.
Maintain awareness of new and emerging trends and technologies and their potential within Oxfam's digital projects.

Understanding of good practice in web design, including usability, SEO, accessibility issues and technology standards.
Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-expert audience.
Occasional travel way from Oxford is involved.
