Do you know your Twitter from your Flickr and your Facebook from your FourSquare? Are you a social media native, hot on the Gov 2.0 agenda, who wants to play a critical role in changing the way in which the GLA engages with Londoners?
The GLA is hiring a Social Media Editor to enhance its digital presence by using social media networks to extend our reach, drive engagement and ensure that Londoners have access to the benefits of the work of the GLA. You will be tasked with growing our networks and ensuring that social media plays a fundamental role in all of our marketing and campaign activity.
The Social Media Editor will help drive a step change in the way that the GLA communicates the work it performs on behalf of the Mayor of London. You will provide key support to the Editor in Chief in developing and delivering a social media development programme that places Londoners at the heart of our digital communications.
This role will also contribute to the effective development and management of the e-mail channel for marketing and communications purposes
The Social Media Editor will work alongside a team of 3 Web Developers and 2 editorial staff, including a Web Editor.
