About the role
There are lots of exciting new developments happening here at the National Trust – and we want to share them. We want to connect with as many people as possible, change perceptions and grow the nation’s love for our special places. If we’re to involve others in our ever-evolving story, we need to make the most of the digital tools available to us. Working as part of our dynamic internal agency team, you’ll manage and increase our social media activity and communities. Content creation, moderation, relationship building and optimisation – you’ll oversee it all. But it’s about much more than just posting tweets or updating our Facebook page. We want you to work on strategies and campaigns to help us extend the reach of our voice. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that important messages and priorities across the National Trust are being reflected in our social media output. As you know, social media isn’t just about what you say but how you say it and the effect that it has on our audiences. Evaluating and measuring our social media activity against our KPIs, you’ll make sure that we’re increasing awareness and engagement through all that we share.

About you
Already a social media professional with an agency background, your finger is firmly on the digital pulse. You know exactly how to put together a hard-hitting social media marketing plan. From social media networks and user generated content to blogs and apps, you’ve a sound understanding of what makes online communities tick and why this engagement is so valuable to us. We’d love you to have a working knowledge of the full marketing mix and a clear understanding of how social media fits in with the bigger picture. And you’re as good in person as you are online – your communication, training and presentation skills are excellent, as are your writing and editing skills. Most importantly of all, you share our love of our places and spaces and want to share them with as many people as possible.
