Further information

SSE trades under four well-established consumer brands Scottish Hydro Electric, Southern Electric, SWALEC and Atlantic.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Content Editor to join the Digital Marketing team to coordinate the production of content for the branded websites.

The consumer-facing branded sites require constant management to maintain product and service related information which sustain SSE’s customer acquisition and retention objectives. You will manage the demand for content change and jointly with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Website Manager coordinate the production of content for the sites.

The Senior Content Editor will be responsible for the development, management, compliance and enhancement of online content over approximately ten websites. You will ensure SSE websites are compliant with external legislation and brand guidelines whilst maintaining efficient and robust editorial procedures and publishing standards used throughout the business.

Providing content management to the team you will recommend and implement improvements to current processes and facilitate changes required enabling continuous improvement.

With a passion for the internet and web based applications you’ll have experience of enterprise web content management systems such as Ektron, Adobe or ATG.  Additionally, you’ll have an understanding of targeted content techniques and multivariate testing, along with a demonstratable experience of controlling editorial content and managing web assets.

In an environment such as this where timing is crucial, the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively is essential.  Working as part of a team and liaising with both external agencies and the wider SSE group your communication skills will be first class.

Finally safety is at the heart of everything we do therefore you should show awareness of both personal and corporate safety practices.
