A mid-level Social Media and SEO Manager is needed for Boom! Dialogue. We’re looking for highly motivated Social Media Manager with demonstrable experience and a fanatical passion for blogging, micro-blogging and community participation. The role also involves both on site and off site SEO responsibilities, with lots of interaction with our client’s editorial and technical teams. This will involve educating the client in what they can do to help improve their own SEO. One of our key clients is a football and sports news website and you’ll be involved in the day-to-day management and success of this campaign.

Responsibilities - SEO

  • Provide ongoing SEO support to agency clients and agency websites
  • Ongoing Management of the SEO strategy for clients and agency websites
  • Working with clients on SEO content calendars
  • Providing and presenting SEO copywriting guidelines to clients
  • Regular SEO data analysis and reporting
  • Helping to analyse data from other key marketing channels
  • Propose new projects that can generate inbound links & social signals to target landing pages
  • SEO reporting across all brands and campaigns
  • Rank Checking
  • Prioritising upcoming sporting events/ news for SEO attention
  • Keyword performance analysis in Google Analytics
  • Providing regular competitive analysis
  • Assisting with back link analysis and internal link optimization
  • Assisting with overall SEO and social media strategies
  • Staying up to date on the latest industry developments and sharing
  • Liaise with client to optimise copy and landing pages for natural search
  • Small amounts of copy and Meta writing

Position Requirements SEO:

  • At least 1 years experience in a dedicated SEO role, ideally 2 - possibly as a SEO


  • Strong knowledge of the search industry, algorithms and ranking strategies
  • Experience with web analytics software and various SEO tools
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skill set
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Some project management experience
  • Self motivated and able to prioritise daily work efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
  • Enthusiasm towards online marketing

Responsibilies - Social Media

  • Developing a social media policy for client and agency sites, increasing sentiment and ultimately driving traffic to the site through continuous and engaging contributions to client’s social networking sites across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and Google+
  • Monitoring of trends in social media tools and applications to capitalise on all opportunities
  • Optimisation of the current channels to ensure they are creatively engaging, up to date and user-centric
  • Liaising with all relevant stakeholders from client editorial, technical and design teams to ensure delivery of posts, tweets etc that meets objectives
  • Minute-by-minute interaction with client’s fans and followers through their channels, with a timely, friendly and approachable tone
  • Identifying any threats in user generated content that surround client brand
  • Devising and deploying acquisition strategies/ incentives to encourage fans and followers to client profiles
  • Optimising tracking codes for social communications and producing an effective benchmark for measuring the impact and effectiveness of campaigns. Subsequent weekly/ monthly reporting to all key stakeholders will be necessary
  • Ensure development and implementation of appropriate social media tools (FB Connect, Share buttons etc)

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of administration or moderation of forums and online communities
  • Proven working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for marketing industry, with experience devising retention and acquisition strategies.
  • Intermediate/ Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Apple Mac software
  • Strong image manipulation and demonstrable design skills in new media
  • Excellent copywriting abilities
  • Excellent working knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, FBML
  • Understanding of advanced internet principles and best practices Behaviours

  • Good technical understanding and aptitude to pick up new tools quickly
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide client where necessary
  • You may have experience in the following roles: Content Management, Online/ Digital Marketing, Public Relations.
