Reporting to the Digital Production Manager

Purpose of the position
1.    Manage the website translations workflow and outputs for each Labelux Brand to support ecommerce revenue growth in the Americas, Europe and Asia
2.    Manage the Group translations agency to ensure service levels are delivered and continuous improvements are made
3.    Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from each Brand to deliver high quality, cost effective, and SEO website translations

Key Responsibilities and Duties
•    Coordinate with ecommerce teams in each Brand with regard agency performance, translation budgets, scheduling translation work and new localisation project planning
•    Liaise with eCommerce Customer Services on their translation needs
•    Work closely with the Group SEO Manager and SEO agency to ensure translated website content is continually optimised for search engine indexation to increase exposure and ranking
•    Oversee website translation workflow and output for each Brand’s website from the Group preferred translation agency
•    Coordinate the processing and tracking of documents (e.g. extraction of text from Product Database, Marketing content files, etc.) submitted for translation through the agency online portal
•    Manage the performance, contract and rates of the Group translations agency. When appropriate negotiate new services and cost-effective rates
•    Lead quarterly agency performance reviews so that performance can be proactively managed and as necessary agency selection changed to meet business needs
•    Support new localised website launches for each Brand from pre-launch translation activities through to on-going business as usual translations
•    Provide input on layout and design considerations for localised websites as requested
•    Create and embed within the Brands best practices, standardised processes, procedures, and policies for website localization and share lessons learnt across the Brands
•    Ensure the quality and timeliness of website translations meet each Brand’s specifications
•    Set up and manage processes with the Brands to quality check completeness and accuracy of translated documents
•    Develop, monitor and report KPIs and SLAs to ensure the effective management of website translations
•    Proactively manage agency as due dates get nearer so that potential delays can be eliminated
•    Troubleshoot translation agency issues as required
•    Work closely with the Digital Production, eCommerce Technology and Systems teams to implement translation data and content upload processes and systems to manage translation upload to the Demandware ecommerce platform
•    Continuously identify and implement improvements to web translations
•    Centralise and drive cost and service synergies for ecommerce translations

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
•    Translation professional with 5+ years of experience, preferably in the fashion or retail industry
•    Strong understanding of ecommerce and optimising content for search
•    Previous localised website launch experience, preferably ecommerce sites  
•    Proven track record of managing large translation workflows and translation memory software
•    Accuracy and attention to detail important
•    Experience managing third party translation agencies
•    Problem solver and resourceful
•    Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
•    Highly organised with the capability to multi-task and prioritise to meet tight deadlines
•    Ability to work at Group level and influence a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple Brands
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office
•    5+ years of translation experience with a second language (preferably as a resident of a country where the language is official spoken), preferably Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin
•    BA/BS Degree in related field
