A rare and exciting opportunity for a senior digital and marketing expert to help save lives.
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is looking for an exceptional individual for a new and challenging role to lead and deliver a change in public attitudes to donation.
As Assistant Director – Digital and Marketing based in London and at our head office in Watford you will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of the UK campaign strategy to deliver a significant increase in consent to organ donation. You will bring your extensive experience to bear across the full marketing and digital mix to deliver multichannel campaigns. You will also support the blood marketing team to maintain stable supplies of blood and advise on the commercial marketing of our specialist products into hospitals.
You will be responsible for managing the organisation’s brand and identity and manage a team of marketing and digital specialists responsible for a range of award winning work. You will be part of a Senior Management Team leading delivery of excellent communications and marketing in support of NHSBT’s ambition to be the best organisation of its type in the world.
A strategic, lateral and creative thinker, you’ll be ready for the challenge of bringing your expertise to help us deliver our unique mission. You’ll need significant senior-level experience in a digital and/or marketing role, including the management of a multi-faceted budget and of multiple senior stakeholders. The ability to deliver high-profile, successful campaigns and to manage multiple teams within a large and complex organisation is essential, as is expertise in procuring and managing external suppliers. You will, of course, be an exceptional communicator.
NHSBT is a Special Health Authority dedicated to saving and improving lives through the wide range of services we provide to the NHS – a safe and reliable supply of blood components, diagnostic services and stem cell services to hospitals in England and north Wales and tissues and solid organs to hospitals across the UK.
