The PPC & Affiliates Manager will manage the operational execution and business development of all paid search (PPC), digital display & affiliate marketing channels with the objective of fuelling web traffic and online sales growth. They will take responsibility for developing our presence, scale, and maintaining return on investment in these sales-critical performance marketing channels. They will understand how to deliver beautifully constructed and carefully considered PPC, Display, and Affiliate campaigns designed to maximise profitability whilst increasing volume and audience, using both established techniques as well as innovating with new ideas and technologies.
Reporting directly to the Manager - Digital Marketing, this new position will form a key role in our Digital infrastructure. The PPC & Affiliates Manager will maintain key relationships with external providers essential to our Digital operation as well as diligently manage a small, high performance internal team. They will also perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure the delivery of our wider digital marketing strategy, and deputise for their departmental manager as required.
They will take the initiative to deliver results through building successful relationships, adopting best practice methodology and making informed decisions based on actionable data, live testing, and product knowledge. They will be absolutely driven to develop our approach to affiliate marketing, where they will play a hands-on role developing affiliate relationships and arranging favourable terms and opportunities for the business in order to ensure the successful delivery of our digital strategy. They will be a PPC expert with an excellent eye for detail, being very precise in their approach in order to generate profitable direct sales as well as positively influence brand exposure.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital operator – who understands the affiliate marketing marketplace in the UK, as well as being a lover of the science behind the PPC marketing machine – with proven hands-on experience and a sincere passion to share, test, innovate, and learn. We will consider candidates from both client-side or marketing agency backgrounds, ideally with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a related role, who stand out from the crowd with excellent numerical analysis and communication skills, make fast and critical decisions based on data, and have a sharp eye for detail. This role forms a key part of a high-performance Digital Marketing department where efficiency, entrepreneurialism, and dynamism are celebrated – and this is exactly the ethos the successful candidate will be expected to both contribute to, and fit within comfortably.
