We work with a network of around 170 local Age UKs, all of which have their own local website sitting on a centrally hosted platform. The Age UK digital team is responsible for the technical maintenance and development of this local platform and supports local partners in using their website (and other online channels) effectively.
We are looking for a Partners Digital Officer who will be responsible for developing and delivering the online training programme as well as providing day-to-day support to our local partners.
You will act as a first point of contact in the digital team for enquiries from partners, managing incoming support requests in a timely manner. You will champion brand and digital standards by proactively engaging with stakeholders and by sourcing or producing on-brand, web-optimised digital assets including copy, image and video which local partners can use or adapt for their sites
A large part of this role is the development and delivery of training programmes and materials for local editors regarding the CMS and core digital communication techniques and channels, including principles of user-centric web design, digital marketing (eg SEO, email, PPC) and social media. Working closely with local stakeholders you will contribute to the development and implementation of the Age UK digital strategy for partner websites.
Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working in a busy and multidisciplinary digital production environment. You are experienced in delivering high quality digital content on a regular basis, including search-/web-optimised copy, multimedia content, email campaigns, and social media engagement content. You have a good working knowledge of Google Analytics and ideally understand the basics of Google Adwords / PPC.
You will be comfortable in teaching colleagues and stakeholders how to use CMS systems and a proven ability to meet targets. With advanced IT skills, including HTML you will be also able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively. You will have a flexible approach to work with the ability to travel within the UK on a regular basis.
