Social Media Analyst Central London - £30K DH | 18674 My client is a digital marketing agency at the top of their game. Currently they are looking to take on an experienced and innovative Social Media Analyst - this is a unique role and involves getting your hands dirty whilst also developing and evolving the direction of the Social Insights team. Consumer and community insight sit at the heart of what this agency do and feel that these insights should define a brand's communications through every touch point. The role exists to lead the insights offering for this agencies Social Media Team, using a range of technologies (including social monitoring, community tracking and Social CRM tools) to deliver actionable insights that will inform brand and social strategies for the clients. It's somewhat of a hybrid role in that it involves some getting your hands dirty, whilst also developing and evolving the direction of the Social Insights team. Working in a tight knit "always on" team, this role is pivotal in creating ideas that will speak to consumers and get them speaking to each other about the client's brand. Major Responsibilities: * Constantly monitoring and analysing online consumer conversations using a listening platform to understand topics, volume and sentiment * Managing and owning a range of social technologies and tools to deliver actionable insights to the Social Media team * Delivering consumer understanding, trends and insight that will inform creative and strategic thinking * Preparation of weekly, monthly or quarterly reports (insights and results) , both for Global and Local clients * Identifying influential brand advocates for the Community Management team to build relationships with * Analysing search engine ranking positions against competition, bid price data and site traffic data to optimise team's activities * Ownership and development of the social insights approach You must come with: * Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Information technology or Human-Computer Interaction or related educational concentration * Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing or business analytics setting * Minimum 2 years statistical analysis, predictive modelling or segmentation experience * Minimum 1 year SQL programming experience * Minimum 2 years experience in an online/social marketing A bit about the agency: This is a relatively new team but one full of enthusiasm, experience and drive.
