We are looking for our next future award winner to join the high profile Multichannel team here at Paperchase as an Online Marketing Executive. You’ll be responsible for the continued growth of the successful Paperchase reward scheme “Treat Me” and our online presence in the UK & internationally

You’ll ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in an Online marketing role (gained within a fast paced retail or FMCG business) and will have previous experience of working on customer loyalty programs / projects.


This is a broad role, with varied responsibilities:

  • managing the multi-channel communication programs, and identifying added value communication strategies to support customer acquisition, conversion, retention, cross-sell, up-sell and reactivation
  • creating content for key customer groups across all channels
  • using Treat Me customer data to implement and design triggered and broadcast email communications.
  • working closely with the Head of Ecommerce to measure and interpret data and corresponding marketing strategies 
  • working with the retail team to maximise and retain store engagement, keeping stores focused on KPIs and communicating any changes as appropriate
  • identifying key customer segments and planning subsequent communication and campaigns through all channels (including email, direct marketing, offline, SMS and partnerships)
  • driving customer insight through the business and assisting with the management of consumer research programmes, including assisting in interpreting research to develop clear actionables
  • working with colleagues in the marketing team to implement seamless campaigns across social media, ensuring messages are kept consistent
  • identifying and managing future development opportunities (e.g optimising web journey, app, internationalisation, etc)
  • ownership of wider, customer focused marketing activities, including student and wedding campaigns
  • working with agencies to maximise returns on PPC & SEO traffic
  • working with affiliate partners particularly around students to profitably grow sales contribution in both UK and internationally
  • planning data selection and segmentation, and preparing campaign lists for customer communications
  • managing all email marketing, including the planning, creation and testing of campaigns
  • managing relationships with external agencies, partners and suppliers
  • retaining and growing customer spend (RFV) through adopting e-CRM strategies



The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • the proven ability to manage successful email campaigns end to end, with a strong focus on demonstrating ROI through monitoring and reporting of key KPIs
  • an affinity for the Paperchase brand with an instinctive understanding of our tone of voice and brand proposition
  • knowledge and application of best practice customer insight principles
  • experience of working with an email service provider
  • excellent process and project management skills, with a proactive approach and a clear focus on results
  • excellent time management skills with the ability to manage a broad and varied workload, including a combination of both analytical and creative tasks
  • the ability to multi-task, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and ensuring all deadlines are consistently met
  • natural enthusiasm and an engaging communication style, with the ability to quickly build rapport with peers across multiple teams
