Web Engineer About the role

Talented Web Engineer needed for one of the world’s leading ecommerce sites to help transform their site into a completely seamless online experience for the customer. They’re moving into the latest and most exciting technologies to continue to perfect their site, all whilst maintaining their platform to the highest standards.

About You

Their general stack currently looks along the lines of:

- HTML5/HTML
- CSS with use of SASS or CSS modules
- JavaScript (ES6)
- React, Redux, Babel and Webpack
- Jasmine, Ava and Enzyme
- Responsive web-development
- HTTP, as well as in-browser performance testing and optimisation
- Accessibility
- SEO

However, as they’re a forward-thinking, digitally first company, they are not restrictive on the stack. Especially in regards to frameworks, they are more than happy to look at someone with strong experience in others, such as Angular or Require. This is the same with testing, in which they will definitely look at candidates with good exposure to Karma, Mocha or similar – although experience with both JavaScript and testing frameworks are 100% necessary.

About the company

They’re a fantastic company to work for, with an unbelievable benefits package, outstanding office and culture. They’re currently implementing themselves heavily into the UI community and hold lots of social events too.

Benefits

40% discount off the retail products and early access to sample sales, £500 flexi-cash package and early finish in some Summer days.
