More than 20 million visitors every year come to search and compare prices for thousands of holiday offers and last year they sent over 300,000 passengers away on holidays around the globe.
The Content Manager role is critical to the long term success of the brand and it requires a creative, culturally savvy experienced individual who can review and edit content from various sources to ensure it is of good quality and is a "brand fit". The job holder must be interested in leveraging content from multiple sources to achieve ambitious improvements in organic search results.
This role is a fit for self-starters who have strong SEO technical knowledge and are comfortable using their own independent judgment to make on-the-fly decisions.
The main accountabilities are for delivery of website and app customer experience KPIs along with organic search focussed KPIs
Key Functional Areas of ResponsibilityDevelop, maintain and implement a "rich content" strategy with particular focus on the most commercially important destinations.Develop, maintain and implement a broader content acquisition/aggregation strategy that covers all of the content requirements for the company's digital; This will initially include the blog, press centre, bespoke landing pages, destination pages, and hotel landing pages.Discover and drive new content partnerships including contacting potential vendors and putting partnership agreements in place.Liaise with the company's curation/Content team in India who have responsibility to curate & create content.Liaise with the company's SEO team in India to agree the content strategy and calendar.Ensure the quality of newly supplied content meets pre-agreed quality standards.Significantly up-grade available content library with a particular focus on travel destination content, 360 Panoramas relevant video content.Develop, maintain and implement an effective blogging strategy.Ensuring availability of the images and slide-shows necessary to exploit the company's content related opportunities.Ensure content needs are provided for across the main groups of devices customers want to use.Ensure good quality weekly and monthly reporting for all major metrics, goal tracking, revenue tracking, and tracking the success of any other paid search initiatives takes place.Ensure the integrity of the brand is maintained and that all activity conforms to brand guidelines as advised by the marketing director.
Professional Competencies7-10 years of online marketing experience within a diverse company, preferably in heading or leading digital marketing team for a ecommerce or online Travel companyAn in-depth understanding of building a content strategy around developing rich content around travel/ destinations.Experience in using content to drive traffic, engagement and user growthIn depth knowledge of European audiences and past experience in working in a travel magazine as editor or editorial lead will be an added advantage.Candidate must have experience in, and a strong understanding of, web content management, digital optimisation, data analytics, and all major sources of inbound traffic (e.g., social media, mobile, video, etc.).Committed to staying informed about latest technologies, media, interactive research and emerging related standards.Confident in liaising with preferred web and creative agencies to ensure effective content maintenance and implementation of special content projects as/when appropriateBrand ambassador who cares about brand integrity and who is prepared to actively enforce brand guidelines to protect the brand.Be creative and interested in creative content such as infographics.Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Be comfortable working with social and email teams and contribute to the content strategy in those challenges.Excellent oral and written communication skills along with effective presentation skills.First rate organisational skills , planning and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Wordpress, Google Apps and ideally Photoshop
