We’re looking for an awesome Training Manager who will have responsibility for designing and managing all aspects of our Econsultancy Public Training courses, from choosing the training topics and finding the best trainers, to managing the day-to-day sales and delivery of the courses.
Our Public Training programme consists of 40+ face-to-face training workshops with expert trainers, plus repeats through the year (c. 150 in total) focusing on providing participants with high quality training in a wide range of marketing/digital marketing skills.
The Training Manager is the key person in ensuring the absolute quality of the training itself, and the attendees' training experience - from enquiry, to booking, to communication, the training itself, and follow-up.
Training of this sort is highly competitive now, and we have challenging targets to hit in bookings. The Training Manager must keep on top of this, proactively managing and reporting Public Training performance.
Whilst this is very much a hands-on role, you will be supported by a Training Exec, who will handle all day-to-day logistics, admin, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall: Your priority will be in ensuring the quality of the Econsultancy training experience. You’ll be responsible for all ongoing comms, from booking confirmation to feedback, and ensuring the training on the day is world class - helping turn every trainee into a loyalist and advocate for Econsultancy
Strategy and planning: What we train, who we train, when we train, where we train. You’ll also be responsible for identifying the best trainers and building strong ongoing relationships
Commercials: Forecasting, pricing, managing costs & revenue/margin, financial measurement and reporting
Sales & Marketing: Working closely with Marketing and Sales teams to feed the pipeline & convert enquiries into sales. You will be responsible for helping manage outbound & inbound prospects & enquiries (in close collaboration with the wider Sales teams etc.), and handling cross-selling & upselling opportunities
Delivery: Developing training content with the trainers and delivering compelling training workshops, including overseeing the management of all logistics incl. venues, materials, instructions, issues, etc all training materials and collateral
- Instinctive and natural passion for training and a real interest in Digital Marketing
- Proven track record, either client or agency-side, with a strong understanding of market dynamics & Marketing.
- Entrepreneurial flair and passion that enables a positive and determined approach to projects
- Self-motivated and capable of hands-on problem solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions, and ensure exceptional culture of client service.
- Confident, articulate and a proactive thinker.
- Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal, digital & visual).
