Econsultancy Public Training Executive

About Econsultancy

Our name is a bit of a curveball. It’s easy for people to assume we’re just another consulting house. In fact we’re much more than that, and in everything we do there are always two things that drive us: our content and our community.

Our award-winning content and thought leadership is what makes our blog, events, training and consultancy highly sought after. Our community means that we can always find the right expert for any challenge…and crowdsource the answers when we don’t. Simply put, we love empowering millions of Marketers to achieve excellence in everything they do.
Our customers come to us to build their knowledge, their teams’ capabilities, validate decisions and benchmark their activity. They know they can trust us to provide independent advice. Without mincing our words.

The role

We’re looking for an amazing Training Executive who will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of all our Econsultancy Public Training courses, from communicating with prospective trainees, to managing the trainers, the venues, the course materials, and handling follow-up.

Our Public Training programme consists of 40+ face-to-face training workshops with expert trainers, plus repeats through the year (c.150 in total) focusing on providing participants with high quality training in a wide range of marketing/digital marketing skills.

The Training Executive will work closely in support of the Training Manager and wide team in ensuring the absolute quality of the training itself, and the attendees' training experience - from enquiry, to booking, to communication, the training itself, and follow-up.

Training of this sort is highly competitive now, and we have challenging targets to hit in bookings. It is vital, therefore, that our training courses are of the highest possible quality, and that the programme is managed efficiently and productively.

In short, this is a very hands-on role, and you will be responsible for keeping everything running smoothly, handling all day-to-day logistics, admin, and ensuring all the trains run on time.

Key responsibilities include:

Overall: Your priority will be in ensuring the quality and smooth running of the Econsultancy training experience. You’ll help manage all ongoing comms, from booking confirmation to feedback, and ensuring the training on the day is world class - helping turn every trainee into a loyalist and advocate for Econsultancy

Logistics: Managing the venues, ensuring all trainees know where they’re going and have all essential information and instructions, collating and supplying training materials and collateral, managing our expert trainers (and booking hotels/travel when needed), etc.

Content: Preparation of course materials, collaborating closely with the trainers and Training Manager

Customer service: responding to enquiries, answering questions, handling requests, supporting current and past delegates with ongoing needs including course follow-up

Finance: responsible for processing invoices and supporting the Training Manager in financial reporting etc.

Sales & Marketing: Supporting the Training Manager and Marketing and Sales teams to feed the pipeline & convert enquiries into sales. Helping manage outbound & inbound prospects & enquiries (in close collaboration with the wider Sales teams etc.)

Our ideal candidate

  • Brilliant basics – this is the foundation of your role, and the absolute prerequisite for all additional development:
  1. Outstanding operational discipline: Taking pride in doing things brilliantly and right every time
  2. Setting every workshop up for success: Instructions, bookings, workshop materials, follow-ups
  3. Proactivity: Planning ahead, predicting what is needed and when, self-motivated and capable of hands-on problem solving
  4. Time-keeping. Always being on time, and always meeting timings and deadlines
  5. Attention to detail – sweating the small things, having an amazing eye for detail, seeking to ensure everything we produce is flawless (yes, this includes typos!)
  • Instinctive and natural passion for training and a real interest in Digital Marketing
  • Confident, articulate, polite
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal, digital & visual)
  • Proven team player
